Three bikes headed out from Wellington on 07:00 Sunday morning, meeting the fourth rider in Ceres. The group consisted of a Honda 1100 Africa Twin, BMW R1250GS, KTM 1290SAR and KTM 950S.
Between the Paardekraal wind farm 40km north of Touwsrivier and Laingsburg, we had three punctures from the sharp shale rock piercing tyres.
Our planned breakfast in Laingsburg turned out to be a late lunch.
After passing through Anysberg Nature Reserve we arrived in Montagu at 17:30. While refueling here we saw a nail sticking out of the 950's rear tyre and fixed the fourth puncture on the day.
A long day in the saddle but a great group of people together meant this was an adventure to remember.
